A superbly well run…and fun as hell…Texas Hold ‘Em tournament makes us think we’re on to something for 2010. Three full tables battled it down to a final table of five cardsharks. Jeff, Kathleen, Eric, Marc and David. After valiant play, first Kathleen then Jeff fell, leaving the final three around the green octagon.

Down pretty bad to Eric and Mark, David goes All In on in on pocket 6 and 9 of spades. 6. 9. Every.One.Wins. Are you not going to bet on that? Please.

Mano a mano, Mark and Eric trade pot buys for several hands until Eric decides to go All In after the deal. David is pretty sure Eric is full of it, so he goads Mark in to going All In against Eric’s obviously frivolous power play.

Tuesday, November 24 at The Local, which is on Ponce. I don’t think they have a website, but they are kind of across the street from The Clermont Lounge. They are giving us a pitcher/drink special. Good for stretching out the stomach before Thursday.
