The Stache Bash is Friday at Manuel’s!
The culmination of growing season is here, the Stache Bash.
Growers, dress as your stache “persona”…this means in costume. Bring your A-game too, there were some sweet ones last year: Two Ned Flanders, Hulk Hogan, The Swedish Chef and Frida Kahlo to name a few.
There will be stache-related contests of greatness. The Falcon Lords, an awesome robot-fighting band, will be playing music. We’ll crown a king based on shady evalutions from the judges we pick out of the audience, general greatness and several other factors yet to be determined and crown a King Stache for 2010. This week is the final push for donations, so round up the stragglers in your life and get them to donate through the link or give them to you personally. Bring any cash or checks you’ve collected. WE’RE STILL COLLECTING DONATIONS FRIDAY so invite your family and friends to come out. It’s a fun night and we end up raising a bunch of extra cash.

Stachers, it’s the last check-in before the glorious Stache Bash this Friday. No contests, no games, just come get your picture taken one last time.
We’re at the Elliot Street Pub this time. It’s in Castleberry Hills, near downtown. Check the link for directions if you haven’t been there before.
Friday, is the Stache Bash at Manuel’s. If you haven’t figured out your Stache costume, i suggest you do so. It will be awesome. The Falcon Lords are playing and we’ll crown the king of 2010. Invite everyone you know and Tell them to bring cash or checks so they can donate that night!

Poker Tourney Raises $780.00 for CURE!

Congratulations to grower Dylan Reid, the 2010 M4K Atlanta Final Table Champion.
Dylan’s pocket 8′s hit the set (3 of a kind) in the final hand, defeating Brandon Floyd’s Ace/Two. Heroically, both Dylan and Brandon immediately donated their winnings back to CURE!
The two ‘stachers donated their winning stashes back to the cause, which added to the generous Winners Purse donated by Hendrick and Maloof Law Firm. A grand total of $780 was raised from the tournament. Thank you players, and our sponsor Hendrick and Maloof.
$780.00 is not too shabby for a group of grower-players who featured such promiscuously loose play that the tournament directors had to give everyone more chips just to keep the whole thing from being an hour-long disaster! It was a literal cacophony of “All-ins,” and another successful fundraising event for M4K.
Thanks to Troy Hendrick and his helper whose name I can’t remember for running the tourney! Fun was had by all.
